The Law Firm of Jonsson & Hall traces its roots back to 1975 when Gestur Jonsson, upon graduation from law school, started his own private practise.
Currently the firm has seven partners. Gestur Jonsson, the founding partner, Ragnar Halldor Hall since 1992, Gunnar Jonsson since 1993, Hordur Felix Hardarson since , Einar Thor Sverrisson since 2005, Gisli Gudni Hall since 2006 and Geir Gestsson since 2008. In addition to the seven partners, the firm employs five associates Almar Thor Moller, Anna Thordis Rafnsdottir, Hilmar Gunnarsson, Olafur Freyr Frimannsson and Johannes Eiriksson.

Amongst its clients Jonsson & Hall counts numerous business enterprises, domestic as well as international, ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, banks, government institutions and ministries, unions and of course individuals. The partners and associates comprise a wealth of experience in different fields of the law, enabling the firm to offer the client a full range of services.
